PRODUCT QUESTIONS

About Our Reformers

What is a Pilates reformer machine?

A Pilates reformer is a piece of equipment used for reformer Pilates exercises. It consists of a flat platform (called the carriage) that rolls back and forth on rails within a frame. Springs provide adjustable resistance, allowing you to perform hundreds of exercises that strengthen, lengthen, and tone your entire body. Our reformers bring the full studio experience into your home.

Is a home Pilates reformer worth it?

If you currently attend studio classes, a home reformer typically pays for itself within 3-6 months. Studio classes in the UK average £25-35 per session. With your own reformer, you can practise as often as you like with no ongoing costs. Our customers consistently tell us it's the best investment they've made for their health and wellbeing.

Will a reformer fit in my home?

Our foldable reformers are specifically designed for UK homes. When folded, they store upright and take up minimal floor space. When set up, you'll need approximately 2.5m x 1m of floor space. Most of our customers use their living room, spare bedroom, or garage.

Do I need experience to use a reformer?

Not at all. Reformer Pilates is suitable for all fitness levels, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. The adjustable spring resistance means you can start gently and progress at your own pace. We recommend starting with beginner-friendly online classes to learn proper form and technique.

What's the difference between spring and cord resistance?

Our reformers use studio-grade springs, not cords or elastic bands. Springs provide smooth, consistent resistance throughout the full range of motion, which is essential for proper muscle engagement and safe practice. Cord-based reformers (often found at lower price points) provide inconsistent resistance and don't replicate the studio experience.

How much weight can the reformer support?

Our reformers support up to 150kg (approximately 23.5 stone), making them suitable for the vast majority of users.
